Putting our relationships first before our gadgets.

In the spirit of putting our relationships first before our gadgets here are some things that you can do.

1. Parents, teach your children at least one game that you used to love at their age. Examples are hopscotch, chickens-in-the-den, hide and seek, slug, soccer, netball, draft 🫣 and so on. If you have children of different ages, you can teach them age-appropriate games that you loved.

2. Children, teach your parents a new skill, language, game, or something that you find interesting. It can even be something that you enjoy doing on your device, even a TikTok dance, video creation, anything.

3. Siblings, exchange notes on what you would like to do more of as siblings. After that try to do at least one of those things together.

4. Families, share one thing that you would like each of your family members to change regarding their tech use. Agree to work on bad habits together as you build trust, communication and love as a family.

5. Couples, write each other love letters stating the things that you love about your partner and how tech is promoting or threatening your bond. Be willing to hear some hard but constructive feedback. Be open to hearing how your partner REALLY feels about your relationship with tech. Commit to work together to improve and maintain the areas that are bringing you together and to tackle the ones that are potentially drawing you apart.
